Tank Girl spurns your 'color.'
Trying to see of graphite-stick scribbles can stand in for screen-tone. I feel like normal zip-tone looks a little out of place on my b&w pencil work, but I like the simple, pared-down look of manga, and I'm trying to find an acceptable substitute.
What do y'all think? Is it working for ya?

i like the composition a lot - maybe some more contrast between the values...
Noted. I need to look at some manga and study their screen tone-age
i agree on the screentone value range, but that idea is sweet. I dig it a lot! trigun maximum has good value range as well as baslisk. sweet work though man, ill!!!
Cool idea, I'm liking it! I love all of your fanart friday drawings, this one is especially badass. Maybe if the darker tones were slightly more solid, that could help with the value range?
The solid perspective on the tank with those lovely loose pencil strokes are amazingly appealing!
ever read blade of the immortal? He's got a lot of solid graphite tones in there, maybe a little different from what you're going for...
Thanks for the tips, people! I'ma see about implementin' those advices.
What I'm actually wondering is what you use/what your process is. Is it all digital, or do you do pencils outside the computer, scan'em, and then color them? Or is it all using Photoshop magic? What's your process?
